Subh Vivah Setu

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 July 2026

Subh Vivah Setu ("we", "us", the "App", operated by its founders) is a matchmaking / matrimonial platform. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights over it. By creating a profile, you consent to the practices described here.

We take extra care because we handle sensitive information (photos, date of birth, religion, caste, horoscope details, income and family details). We only use it to help you find a suitable match.

1. Information we collect

2. Why we use it

Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (see section 7).

3. Profile visibility

Your profile (photos and details, except your phone number) is shown to other eligible members for matchmaking. You can hide your profile from search at any time from your settings. Your phone number is never shown on your profile.

4. Mutual consent for contact sharing

Your phone number is shared only after mutual interest. It becomes visible to another member only when both of you have expressed interest in each other. Until then, no one can see your contact number.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data.

6. How long we keep it & your right to erasure

We keep your data only while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the App (Settings → Delete Account). On deletion, we permanently delete or anonymise your personal profile data — including name, date of birth, caste, horoscope and contact details — from our active databases within 30 days, except where retention is required by Indian law.

7. Your rights

8. Children

The App is strictly for adults 18 years and older. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to register. If we discover an account belongs to a minor, it will be deleted immediately and its data permanently wiped.

9. Security

We protect your data using secure login tokens, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures and will notify affected users of any serious data breach as required by law.

10. Grievance Redressal Officer (GRO)

In compliance with the Information Technology Act and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, any complaint about data misuse, security, harassment or fake profiles may be sent to:

We acknowledge all grievances within 36 hours and aim to resolve legitimate, documented complaints within 15 days of receipt.
