Subh Vivah Setu ("we", "us", the "App", operated by its founders) is a matchmaking / matrimonial platform. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights over it. By creating a profile, you consent to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account: mobile number (verified by OTP), and app language preference.
- Profile: name, gender, date of birth, height, marital status, education, occupation, income range, city/native place.
- Community & horoscope (optional): religion, caste/sub-caste, gotra, mother tongue, manglik status, nakshatra, rashi, birth time/place — collected for matchmaking purposes only.
- Family: family type/values, parents' occupation, siblings, land ownership, and similar details you choose to add.
- Lifestyle (optional): smoking and drinking habits, and anything you write in your "About me" — shown on your profile to help members judge compatibility.
- Photos you upload.
- Technical: device notification (FCM) token, and basic activity needed to run the service.
- Usage analytics: we use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used. It records a pseudonymous app-instance identifier along with your device model, operating system, app version and approximate region, plus a small set of events (opening a screen, verifying your number, sending an interest, revealing a contact). These events carry no name, phone number or profile details. We use it only to improve the App — not for advertising.
- Logs: your IP address, device/browser type and request times are processed automatically by our servers and by Cloudflare to keep the service secure (blocking abuse, rate-limiting and fraud prevention). We do not use them to build advertising profiles.
2. Why we use it
- To build your profile and show you relevant matches.
- To verify profiles and reduce fake accounts.
- To send you notifications (e.g. new interest received, a match).
- To keep the platform safe (handling blocks and reports).
Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (see section 7).
3. Profile visibility
Your profile (photos and details, except your phone number) is shown to other eligible members for matchmaking. You can hide your profile from search at any time from your settings. Your phone number is never shown on your profile.

- Other members — your profile (not phone) for matchmaking; your number only after mutual interest.
- Service providers we rely on to run the app: Google Firebase (login, notifications and usage analytics), Cloudflare R2 (photo storage), and — if/when payments are enabled — Razorpay.
- Authorities — only if required by law.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. How long we keep it & your right to erasure
We keep your data only while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the App (Settings → Delete Account). On deletion, we permanently delete or anonymise your personal profile data — including name, date of birth, caste, horoscope and contact details — from our active databases within 30 days, except where retention is required by Indian law.
7. Your rights
- Access and correct your information (edit profile).
- Withdraw consent / hide your profile.
- Delete your account and data (Settings → Delete Account).
- Raise a grievance (see below).
8. Children
The App is strictly for adults 18 years and older. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to register. If we discover an account belongs to a minor, it will be deleted immediately and its data permanently wiped.
9. Security
We protect your data using secure login tokens, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures and will notify affected users of any serious data breach as required by law.

11. Changes
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date will change, and continued use means you accept the updated policy.

शुभ विवाह सेतु ("हम", "ऐप", इसके संस्थापकों द्वारा संचालित) एक विवाह / रिश्ता ढूँढने का मंच है। यह गोपनीयता नीति बताती है कि हम कौन-सी व्यक्तिगत जानकारी लेते हैं, क्यों लेते हैं, और उस पर आपके क्या अधिकार हैं। प्रोफ़ाइल बनाकर आप यहाँ बताई गई बातों से सहमति देते हैं।
1. हम क्या जानकारी लेते हैं
- खाता: मोबाइल नंबर (OTP से सत्यापित), और भाषा पसंद।
- प्रोफ़ाइल: नाम, लिंग, जन्म तिथि, कद, वैवाहिक स्थिति, शिक्षा, व्यवसाय, आय, शहर/मूल स्थान।
- समुदाय व कुंडली (वैकल्पिक): धर्म, जाति/उपजाति, गोत्र, मातृभाषा, मांगलिक स्थिति, नक्षत्र, राशि, जन्म समय/स्थान — केवल रिश्ता मिलान के लिए।
- परिवार: परिवार का प्रकार, माता-पिता का व्यवसाय, भाई-बहन, ज़मीन आदि जो आप जोड़ना चाहें।
- जीवनशैली (वैकल्पिक): धूम्रपान व मदिरापान की आदतें, और "मेरे बारे में" में लिखी बातें — अनुकूलता जाँचने हेतु आपकी प्रोफ़ाइल पर दिखती हैं।
- फोटो जो आप अपलोड करते हैं।
- तकनीकी: सूचना (नोटिफ़िकेशन) टोकन और सेवा चलाने हेतु आवश्यक बुनियादी जानकारी।
- उपयोग विश्लेषण (Analytics): ऐप कैसे उपयोग हो रहा है यह समझने के लिए हम Google Firebase Analytics का उपयोग करते हैं। इसमें एक छद्म-नाम (pseudonymous) ऐप-इंस्टेंस पहचानकर्ता, डिवाइस मॉडल, ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम, ऐप संस्करण, अनुमानित क्षेत्र तथा कुछ घटनाएँ (स्क्रीन खुलना, नंबर सत्यापन, रुचि भेजना, संपर्क देखना) दर्ज होती हैं। इनमें आपका नाम, फ़ोन नंबर या प्रोफ़ाइल विवरण नहीं जाता। इसका उपयोग केवल ऐप सुधारने हेतु है, विज्ञापन हेतु नहीं।
- लॉग: आपका IP पता, डिवाइस/ब्राउज़र प्रकार और अनुरोध का समय हमारे सर्वर व Cloudflare द्वारा सुरक्षा (दुरुपयोग रोकने, दर-सीमा व धोखाधड़ी रोकथाम) हेतु स्वतः संसाधित होते हैं। इनका उपयोग विज्ञापन प्रोफ़ाइल बनाने के लिए नहीं होता।
2. हम इसका उपयोग क्यों करते हैं
- आपकी प्रोफ़ाइल बनाने और उपयुक्त रिश्ते दिखाने के लिए।
- प्रोफ़ाइल सत्यापित करने और फर्ज़ी खातों को रोकने के लिए।
- आपको सूचनाएँ भेजने के लिए (जैसे किसी ने रुचि दिखाई)।
- मंच को सुरक्षित रखने के लिए (ब्लॉक व रिपोर्ट)।
कानूनी आधार: आपकी सहमति, जिसे आप कभी भी वापस ले सकते हैं (देखें बिंदु 7)।
3. प्रोफ़ाइल की दृश्यता
आपकी प्रोफ़ाइल (फोटो व विवरण, मोबाइल नंबर को छोड़कर) अन्य योग्य सदस्यों को रिश्ते के लिए दिखाई जाती है। आप कभी भी सेटिंग्स से अपनी प्रोफ़ाइल खोज से छिपा सकते हैं। आपका मोबाइल नंबर आपकी प्रोफ़ाइल पर कभी नहीं दिखता।

- अन्य सदस्य — रिश्ते के लिए आपकी प्रोफ़ाइल (नंबर नहीं); नंबर केवल आपसी रुचि के बाद।
- सेवा प्रदाता जिन पर ऐप निर्भर है: Google Firebase (लॉगिन, सूचनाएँ व उपयोग विश्लेषण), Cloudflare R2 (फोटो), और भुगतान चालू होने पर Razorpay।
- अधिकारी — केवल जब कानून द्वारा आवश्यक हो।
हम आपकी व्यक्तिगत जानकारी नहीं बेचते।
6. जानकारी कब तक रखते हैं व मिटाने का अधिकार
हम आपकी जानकारी केवल तब तक रखते हैं जब तक खाता सक्रिय है। आप कभी भी ऐप से खाता हटा सकते हैं (सेटिंग्स → खाता हटाएँ)। हटाने पर आपकी व्यक्तिगत प्रोफ़ाइल जानकारी — नाम, जन्म तिथि, जाति, कुंडली व संपर्क विवरण सहित — हमारे सक्रिय डेटाबेस से 30 दिनों के भीतर स्थायी रूप से हटा या अनाम कर दी जाती है, सिवाय जहाँ कानून द्वारा रखना आवश्यक हो।
7. आपके अधिकार
- जानकारी देखना व सुधारना (प्रोफ़ाइल एडिट)।
- सहमति वापस लेना / प्रोफ़ाइल छिपाना।
- खाता व जानकारी हटाना (सेटिंग्स → खाता हटाएँ)।
- शिकायत दर्ज करना (नीचे देखें)।
8. बच्चे
यह ऐप केवल 18 वर्ष व उससे अधिक उम्र के वयस्कों के लिए है। हम जानबूझकर 18 से कम उम्र वालों को पंजीकरण की अनुमति नहीं देते। यदि कोई खाता नाबालिग का पाया गया तो उसे तुरंत हटा दिया जाएगा और डेटा स्थायी रूप से मिटा दिया जाएगा।
9. सुरक्षा
हम सुरक्षित लॉगिन टोकन, एन्क्रिप्टेड कनेक्शन (HTTPS) और एक्सेस नियंत्रण से आपकी जानकारी की रक्षा करते हैं। कोई भी प्रणाली पूर्णतः सुरक्षित नहीं होती, पर हम उचित कदम उठाते हैं और गंभीर उल्लंघन की स्थिति में कानून अनुसार सूचित करेंगे।

हम सभी शिकायतों की पावती 36 घंटे में देते हैं और वैध शिकायतों का समाधान 15 दिनों में करने का लक्ष्य रखते हैं।
11. बदलाव
हम इस नीति को अद्यतन कर सकते हैं। "अंतिम अद्यतन" तिथि बदल जाएगी, और उपयोग जारी रखने का अर्थ है कि आप नई नीति स्वीकार करते हैं।
